Medical Device Donation Program
About
The COVID-19 Pandemic disrupted one of Trek Coalition’s cornerstone operations, medical missions. As an organization dedicated to improving healthcare abroad, Trek had to adapt. In 2020, our team was able to further our mission despite the pandemic by donating a laparoscopic tower, monitor, scope, and instrumentation for our long-time partners in Ecuador. As a result, what began as a temporary solution gave Trek the opportunity to create our new Medical Device Donation Program (MDDP). MDDP was created to partner with other international organizations within the health industry in order to provide essential medical equipment to regions in need. Medical equipment donations can include general operating room supplies, specialized spinal surgery equipment, endoscopy/pain management equipment, and much more.
